Reviewers to generate a certificate of reviewing activity
Reviewers often need to show their institution that they have been doing peer review for journals as part of the CPD. Our old system would allow a reviewer to generate a certificate which showed how many papers they had reviewed within a given time frame (they could input the dates they wanted). This obviously only counted papers where they had completed a review. This would be simple to implement but would help many of the reviewers out there.
This would be helpful Right now, reviewers are notified of the final decision, but otherwise, we are pulling the information from ScholarOne and making our own certificates to send out a certificate.
Sven - we're really asking for ScholarOne to enable our journals to generate automatic thank you certificates for work done (like the reviewer thank you but with HTML/logos in it). Or one that the reviewer or author could download themselves from the site to show what work they had done.
Marcel,
Any certificates of reviewing, if available, are controlled by the Journal or Society. Please reach out to the Journal or Society directly. Our customer care teams handle technical support issues with the ScholarOne Manuscripts platform. If you need assistance, please reach out to our customer care teams at http://mchelp.manuscriptcentral.com/gethelpnow/ They can also point you to a journal contact if needed.
Warmest Regards,
Sven
Hi,
Please explain in details
How can I get Certificate of Reviewing?
We get regular requests for this from editors, societies and reviewers. It has been available in EM (and other systems) for many years now and should be very straightforward to implement.
