Undo / Rescind Checklist tasks

At the moment, when ever a checklist type task is used in the workflow, once that task has been completed, there is no way to "undo" or "rescind" this in order to take the paper back to the previous step in the workflow. The only way to do this would be to unsubmit and resubmit the paper, but this would undo anything else that has been done on the manuscript, which is not very helpful at all, especially if the checklist task does not sit at the beginning of the workflow. One example is using a checklist task after editor assignment for the editor to decide whether to make a decision immediately or send the paper out for review (and then branch the workflow accordingly). Having this prompt right in front of them is often clearer and more intuitive for the editors than changing the number of required reviews to "0" to skip the review process. The problem is that if the editor decides to go to the decision step immediately but then changes their mind later, there is no way to go back and undo the checklist selection, in order to move the paper to the Select Reviewers task. There are other examples as well where it would be extremely helpful to be able to undo checklist tasks - please make this an option.

The same applies to EICs assigning AEs through checklists: Once assigned, it cannot be rescinded if one changes her/his mind, regardless of whether the email invitation is not sent...
