"On the Fly" account creation
The "On the Fly" account creation routine requires only the first and last name of the person, and the person's e-mail address. It also requires a salutation, but allows a default entry for that field. But it is possible to configure a site to require more information in order to create a new account. For example, our site requires that the person's country be designated. Unfortunately, this sets the stage for a conflict - new accounts can be created using the 'On the Fly' option, but because they don't meet the minimum requirements configured for the site, they don't work properly. S1M should be internally consistent - specifically, values that are configured as the minimum requirements to create a new site by an Administrator or the new user should also be required values when a new account is created using the "On the Fly" approach.
It would be enormously helpful for us if keywords/areas of expertise could be added for reviewers when their account is created 'on the fly'. Our editors often find reviewers by searching for those with a particular area of expertise; however, we now have many reviewers in the system who we aren't utilising as they don't have any keywords listed because it's such a time-consuming process to add these to their account after it's been created on the fly.

I agree - we have a few journals that also want to record the country of a newly registered reviewer, and this is not currently possible, not even when you click on "Provide more account info". This seems a clear oversight in the design.
