Provide the ability to complete other submission steps while my files are uploading (2) Asynchronous file upload.

When an author is uploading a file, the system just says that this is in progress and "please wait" but it would be very useful if there was more information there - e.g. a progress bar showing how much of the file has been successfully uploaded already.
