Linking manuscripts
Hi, We have recently had some difficulties when authors appeal a decision and the original manuscript has been archived, meaning that the appeal needs to be set up as a new manuscript rather than a resubmission, and consequently isn't linked to the original. This means that the appeal referee invitation template isn't present and the previous referee reports aren't automatically added to referee invitations. I was wondering whether there could be an option to link any manuscript to a previous manuscript, so that you could manually link a resubmission or appeal to the original manuscript, and this would make it behave like a regular appeal or resubmission.
