Preferred Reviewers - Configurable Email Suffix Limitations/Specifications
Many journals that allow authors to suggest preferred reviewers would like to be able to configure their sites so that only reviewers with official institutional email addresses ending with .edu or .ac.uk etc can be submitted. Presumably the back end of this could work using much the same technology as that currently in use under Step 14 Submission Configuration/File Upload in Full Config, where you can either require or exclude particular types of file using file suffixes, eg. .exe, .rtf, .pdf etc. Could this technology be repurposed to limit/specify particular types of email addresses at the Suggest Reviewers stage, to prevent authors from suggesting difficult to verify webmail addresses?
