Keep history available for unsubmitted-then-deleted papers
When a paper is unsubmitted, and then the author deletes the unsubmitted paper from his/her author center, the submission is gone and the admin/Editor have no access to a history or view into that paper whatsoever (other than poking through the author's correspondence history to try piece together the puzzle). I suggest that the system keep a visible record of such papers. Perhaps label such papers as "unsubmitted and deleted by author." The full details of papers like this are important!
This would definitely be helpful to track for just those manuscript who have gone through the submission process. The Admins/Editors would like to know what became of a submission that seemingly disappeared from the system.
