The current expertise keyword entry user interface is not user friendly. The number of keywords allowed needs to be preset. When a small number is given, users with a broad range of expertise cannot enter all their keywords, when a large number is given, the form screen is 2 foot-deep and it is hard to enter keywords.
What I suggest is to not have a fixed number. For a new account user, the number of profile keywords maybe 1. After the user enters one keyword, a new blank line is shown to take a new entry. For a user who has entered 10 keywords, the 10 keywords are displayed and a blank line is available to accept a new entry; after a new entry, another blank line is displayed in case the user wants to enter another keyword, and so on.
