We all occasionally have a paper that needs to be put on hold for a while: maybe there's an Ethics concern that is being investigated, for example, and the paper can't be processed until it's resolved. Currently, I use flags and manuscript notes to identify these but they can be easy to miss when you're using them for lots of other things and you're in the zone working through a long list - or when someone else is covering while you're away, as has just happened with me. It would be great if there was a completely separate list/section where we could park these problem papers to keep them away from the normal workflow and avoid the possibility of them being processed by accident.
