Create the option to allow the author to see who the AE assigned to their manuscript is in their center

It would allow for more transparency for some journals with their authors- especially if the AE is making the decision.

I believe that's just a configuration setting which can be updated. You can choose which role is visible to authors eg admin and EIC or Admin EIC AE.
