We have had several instances of authors being confused by the exact meaning of the deadline date that displays in the author dashboard. E.g If the deadline is author is September 4th the revision actually has to be submitted by 23:59 September 3rd. So the deadline date is not inclusive, Therefore, just for clarification - it might be useful to display this date as End of day September 3rd. How the date is displayed currently kind of implies that the date is also included - which is somewhat misleading.
Dear Editor. I wrote yours many time by system mail but I couldn't any answer. Please give me information about my manuscript process (manuscript ID - MS1311)
Thank you
Dr. Hasan Tezcan YILDIRIM
I have raised this before and was fobbed off with some excuse about time zones. It is logical that when you are given a deadline date that you have until the end of that day. I do not know of anything where the deadline date means you have to submit before 00:00 of that day, essentially meaning the deadline is the day before not the day of. Yet another oversight by S1 that they refuse to acknowledge or fix.
This will be much helpful for authors to submit their manuscripts in time and also avoid confusion.
