Automatic detection of authors eligible for Research4Life APC waivers

Research4Life pays some or all of the APC for authors from a long list of low income countries (https://www.research4life.org/access/eligibility/). ScholarOne could do a lot to promote these waivers by using the authors' affiliations to automatically determine whether they are eligible, and tell both the authors and the Production Office.

    Hi!  To clarify, Research4Life does NOT have any funds to pay APCs on behalf of our users.  Many publishers offer APC waivers and some link them explicitly to those institutions which are registered for Research4Life, but others have their own criteria.  I do agree that we should have much more transparency around waivers, and having a hard link to Research4Life registration (e.g. 100% waiver for Group A countries, 50% waiver for Group B countries) would be a much simpler message to communicate.  Thanks!  Andrea Powell, Research4Life Publisher Coordinator.
