Set or suggest a default country (prior to first user affiliation entry at point of account creation) based on the email address suffix. For example, There are a number of instances where USA is displayed as the country on user accounts, when this does not correspond to the email address or institution listed, as this used to be the default country.
Benefit: This would reduce search errors and at minimum provide a country to search for when a user does not otherwise fill in their account information.
