Keyword Selection: Automatically Including the "Parent" Category when a "Child" Category is Selected

I think it would be useful to consider enabling the corresponding parent keyword category to auto-select when  a "child" subcategory keyword is selected for search.  For example, we recently had an editor inquire as to why she was receiving such limited search results when searching for reviewers using a parent keyword, and we came to realize that users were able to select child keywords at registration without selecting the corresponding parent category, which actually defies the logic of the structure. Thus, our editors were not necessarily seeing the full range of possible reviewers unless they were searching on all applicable child keywords as well, which many of them had not been doing.

I think auto including the corresponding parent keyword when a child keyword is selected in a user profile is in line with the logic of the structure as well as the results both admins and editors expect from the defined logic.
