ScholarOne Manuscripts Ideas is a community forum for clients to engage with each other and with the ScholarOne Product team around ways to improve the platform experience. Ideas submitted in this forum are useful in surfacing themes and items of critical importance to our users, prioritizing roadmap initiatives, and fine-tuning feature development.
Currently there is a limit of 50 addresses in total on ScholarOne emails - any more than this, and the email fails to send and just gets stuck in the audit trail 'awaiting further processing' (see e.g. Issue S1MI-I-782).
We regularly have submissions with 30 or more authors, and if some of them have cc addresses this can easily take emails over the limit. Please can the limit be increased, to at least 100? Or better, remove the limit altogether, since it's not possible to easily tell whether the total number of emails is over 50 without manually counting each time.
There are two ways to increase your Gmail sending limit, and one way to create an exception:
Multiple accounts. Establish more than one authorized Gmail or Google Workspace account, each with its own limit. ...
Mass Email Service. ...
Google Groups.

I recently encountered this problem. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one with this problem but it needs to be fixed. If the total cannot be increased, we need to receive notification that the email didn't go through (and why).
