Return receipt option for emails

Given the increasing problem with ScholarOne emails being blocked by spam filters, is it possible to have an option for a "return receipt" message generated when the S1 email is received?  Microsoft Outlook has such a capability.  It would help editors and administrators know if a message has gotten through to the recipient.
