We had robust guides for authors and reviewers, including examples of reviews, links to outside reference articles, etc., until the latest release. We are now allowed under 1000 characters to convey valuable material to authors and reviewers. The loss of these instructions causes bumps in the manuscript submission process and delays as common questions must be addressed individually and off-line. Sending authors to a different site to read instructions for Manuscript Central is confusing and inefficient.
Why are we having these Twitter-like restrictions on communication with our most valued customers?
Agreed. Meantime you could upload a word file containing detailed instructions and link to it in your summary instructions.
