Create Single Sign-On for Users of Multiple Journals Across the Manuscript Central Platform

Please find a way to integrate all the individual log-ins for every journal that uses manuscript central into a single-user sign-on system.  Elsevier went to this process for all journals that use their review system many years ago (i.e., My EES Hub) and it works great!  I've noticed that a few journals have the ability to switch between partner sites once logged-in to the manuscript central portal for those journals, but it would really be helpful if there was a way to have a user log-in that would then give you the option to move freely between any/every journal that uses manuscript central for which you have an account as either an author or reviewer.

As an author and reviewer, I have more than 15 different journals that use manuscript central and every time I go to the individual site I have to enter a user ID and password specific to that site.  I've attempted to make all the usernames and passwords the same, but for some reason sometimes I am not able to change the ID on certain accounts, nor am I able to keep track of every journal that uses MC to go into the system to change every site when I change one password. As a result I find myself constantly frustrated by the log-in system. Moreover, my web-browser and other password management software does not always recognize that each log-in page for individual journals is in fact different and continues to load passwords and user names from other journals, presumably either the one used first or the most recent.

I find it increasingly more challenging and often very frustrating that I end up with a different log-in and password for every journal that I interact with across the manuscript central platform.

In response to Sven below - ORCID does not work as an SSO for manuscript central. I used my ORCID for more than one journal and now get:

" We are unable to log you in via ORCID Sign On because the ORCID iD is associated with multiple accounts on this site. Please verify that you are logging in with your own account, log in with your regular site credentials, or contact the journal for assistance"

Manuscript Central remains a complete car crash of a design in terms of UX, and I wish that the journals I am associated with would stop using it.

    Hi,

In January 2019, with the 4.24 release, we will introduce login with the ORCID ID. One ORCID ID will work across the portfolio of journals.

    Thanks,

    Sven
